Our beloved 18 month old Mackenzie is unexpectedly and severely ill. She was not feeling about 2 weeks ago and after going to a local clinic, they said she had an ear infection. After being medicated, she still was not getting any better. After another trip to the clinic,  Matt & Rachel felt a lump in her abdomen and requested a CAT Scan to be done.  They found a mass in her abdomen and the clinic immediately told them to take her to Children's Hospital in Seattle. She is now currently at Children's with Rachel and her mom, Teresa. Due to Covid restrictions currently in place, Matt & Maddie nor anyone else are allowed at at the hospital for visiting or support. 

Mackenzie has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. It has been found that she has tumors on her liver, heart, skull, kidneys and in her abdomen.  She currently has had a biopsy on her liver and is soon to have a bone marrow test as well as a full body scan to further fine tune her diagnosis. She is also going to start chemo soon. 

With Rachel having to be at the hospital full time, Matt is at home with Maddie. Matt is working but again, due to Covid, he is currently working half of the normal working hours that he usually would. They are receiving family support with childcare but we would like everyone to rally around them, to relieved some of their burdens and to help see the through this difficult time.
