Newest Update

Journal entry by Lynn Olson-Rice

Been a while since I have updated.
.Mom has been enjoying her freedom from the pandemic dwindling down...going out for car rides, out to eat, celebrating birthdays, holidays, etc..She has had a lot of visitors in her room...lots if mail, cards, gifts.all we are very very thanksful for...She got an invitation to an ADK luncheon I took her to, she realky enjoyed herself!
Mom is doing well, getting her 3 square meals a day, medicines on time, insulin shots, exercise bike and walks when tolerated...her energy level is slowing down.lots of rest in between..still the fluid retention going on..CHF...like i said lots of rest....We are just very happy she is with us..Dads death was rough on her, her heart attack and stroke, and then lockdoan was probably the worst..
I recently sent a photo to one of moms teacher friends and she replied with..Your Mom looks great! I told her the nursing home care is to take credit for that..and she says...You are absolutely right!
Mom is where she needs to be..for the care she needs..altho she doesnt think so...that is the hard part ...the care team meets every three mos to be sure things are going ok..i did manage to get mom an extra shower a week..she is very happy about that.
We have reached another SPECIAL holiday, June 30th Mom will be turning 79!"Please remember her any special waY you can!!!
Her family took her out for an early celebration last Sunday to the PUB ...nice time!! Ill try to post some pictures on here.
She loves mail, visits, going out of nh for a bit, phonecalls-- although she doesnt always hear the best, just call mom and the nh to arrange a time!
