From Lois Hays. You may or may not know that your mom and I were born one week apart the year her Aunt Gloria and my sister Wilma were roommates at Friends Haviland Academy. So we celebrated our birthdays for 59 years. Until recent years, I would go pick out a special card to send to her. In recent years it was a letter by email. Of course I thought especially of her on Oct. 7th. You and all your family are continually in my prayers.

Happy birthday Lynn. I’m really missing you today and the chance to read your birthday letter and eat German chocolate cake heaped with coconut pecan icing. I know you’re celebrating with Jesus, but I sure miss you here. Stephen and I send our love to the whole Owen family today.

Thank you for the update. It seems so very unfair that you are without family right now but I know you are surrounded by those who love you. I pray so much and so hard for you. I pray that such your vibrancy and strength is the answer to beating this cancer.

I still refer to Lynn in the present tense. It doesn’t seem real any other way. She was always an absent sister since she went away to private school when I was a toddler. Absent but always returning and I know she’s near my heart.

Dear Amy, I couldn't believe how quickly opened the caringbrige page and the realization of Oh! It's not from Lynn...she has transitioned....is difficult to accept. Thank you for the update. Yes we will for sure pray for you. We loved your mom and dad. I enjoyed each minute I spent with her. Much love to all of you.
