On behalf of myself and the staff here at Main St. Cafe in Walter Reed Bethesda Naval Hospital I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Mr. Gabrys and the family and friends of Lynne Gabrys. While we may not have known her personally, many who met Lynne recount her peaceful demeanor, quick smile and friendly nature. We understand the respect, sincerity and integrity that Mr. Gabrys brings to the Guest Services family and culture could only arise from the constant support , love and patience that his beloved wife offered him throughout their lives. Please accept our collective condolences.

To Gerry, Chris and Katie:

I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed our Thanksgivings together with you guys and have fond memories of Lynne making the Turkey and opening up her home to us. She was always in good spirits and quick with a witty comeback. As a kid I remember playing football in the front yard, pinball in the basement and the talent shows the girls put on. It was great growing up with you guys and I will really miss her.

I hope the countless fond memories of your wife, mother, friend... bring you comfort during this difficult time. My heart and condolences go out to the Gabrys family and all those blessed to have known Lynne.

Selfishly, I'll miss my yearly Thanksgiving "Mom hugs" but know she's in a better place.

Dear Gerry, Katie, Chris, Jason, Amy, Cam, Cyrus, Teddy, et al.

I will be forever grateful for having known your wife, mom, mother in law and grandma. I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. Lynne treated me like a second daughter from the moment I met her. I'll always think of her with love, gratitude and unbounded affection. I've always adored her inherent spunk and zest for life, which was her authentic self. She always kept it real.

In particular, I'm forever grateful to have been able to spend the Friday night after Thanksgiving 2019 with her and Gerry telling the story of how they met and how hitch hiking was the norm. This memory is close to my heart and I'll cherish it for ages.

With deepest love and sincere condolences.

Warmly,

Katie D.

We have known Lynne for nearly 50 years; first as a neighbor, then as a friend, and then as someone we celebrated thanksgiving with for 40 or more years. We considered Lynne one of our closest friends.
Needless to say we are devastated at her loss, and express our sincerest condolences to Gerry, Christopher and Katie..
