Journal entry by Tiffany Welbaum

A post that Trevor shared on Facebook that I wanted to share with those of you following here.

The video of my mom's full service is now online at https://vimeo.com/393694978

And below is a heartfelt note from my dad, which was included in the printed program and read at the conclusion of the service. I thought he expressed so well what our whole family is feeling and would want you to know about our mom and what mattered most to her:

_____________

To my Bride, I will miss you every moment until we walk and laugh together again.

To our first son Timothy, take care of Mom until I arrive. She spoke of you often and longed for the day when she would see you again.

To our three earthly children who are here today, Tyson, Trevor and Tiffany. Your Mom was so very proud of each of you, who you have become and your accomplishments. I do not have words that truly express my love for you. What you have done in putting this day together for your Mother will not be forgotten by me or those gathered here to celebrate a remarkable woman, wife, mother and lover of Christ Jesus.

To those gathered here today, the outpouring of love and tears has been appreciated beyond words. I believe that Tiffany said it best when she declared that she was weeping with a smile. What a picture of love that is. Most here loved Lynne because of her love for Jesus, her contagious laughter, and a few for her occasional puns. I loved her for her love of Christ Jesus, commitment to the Word and devotion to family.

Lynne always wanted all to know that Jesus loves them. To each individual here, she would want you to know that Jesus loves you beyond what you could imagine. He loved you so much that he died for you on a cross — Romans 5:8, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” If you have not committed your life to follow the teachings of our Savior, please consider doing so before you leave this place.

My thanks to all for supporting our family in your prayers, love and tears. The cards, notes and phone calls have filled my heart and home. Please continue to pray as we pass through this season.

With all my love, Hank
