Journal entry by Rose Welch

In December of last year I had twins a at 33 weeks. I had a boy and a girl named Stephan and Luna. Stephan was pretty much healthy other than a thyroid problem and got to come home with me and my daughter had to stay in the NICU. While I was pregnant we found out my daughter had a hole in her heart, but we didn't know how bad it was because she would hide whenever I had an ultrasound. After my children were born, we were rushed to another hospital so she could get better care. After being in the hospital for a few weeks my son was discharged and my daughter had to stay because of her heart problems. After another few weeks I found out my daughter has double outlet right ventricle and her mitro valve was to small. She's gone through multiple surgeries and is now at a children's hospital that specializes in heart problems. Since covid hit the only way my son and my daughter can interact is via zoom. They have not seen each other in over 6 months. I'm also a single mother that has had issues with their father that I'm not going to get into right now, I had to get away from him for mine and my children's safety. My mom is helping as much as she can, and her car (our only means of transportation) is pretty much a dead horse. I just need a little insperation and friendly support to help me get my daughter home.
