Hello from MN!  We're Home!  My gosh this feels so nice for all of us, especially being back HOME with Logan 😍  We missed him so much!

Luella had her follow up apt on Tuesday at Stanford, where all went well!  Her heart rate, BP, oxygen levels all look perfect.  The doctors confirmed that her heart function looks great and she should feel back to normal in the next couple weeks to resume being a lively 4 year old girl !  She will jump right into Preschool once she has more strength, and her incision/sternum is fully healed.  

Luella was very excited to see Tucker 🐶 and Logan.  It was a long weekend over Labor Day weekend waiting for Tuesday's appointment to come so we could get home.  She would wake crying in the middle of the night saying "I wanna go home."  We had some lower key days and ordered in some good meals.  We were able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House until we could catch a flight.

She's been mostly smiles since we got home, with of course her feisty self being back.  She definitely thinks shes in charge right now.  Payback I suppose. 🤪  We had another follow up appointment today at Children's Heart Clinic.  She scored 100% on all her numbers again, and is healing wonderfully.  We will go back next month, and then start a 3 month rhythm of Echo's for follow ups for the first year. 

We're optimistic she will be free of any complications for a very long time, hopefully forever!  Its hard to say we are out of the woods completely, as CCTGA, and the Double Switch surgery don't have a lot of long term statistics yet.  But that's the reason we went to Dr. Hanley.  He specializes in CCTGA and has a great track record with his surgeries.  They have a very high success rate.  So with that, we have no regrets with this approach, and we pray she has the best outcome and a long, heart healthy life!  🙏

Thank you again for all the prayers over the last 3 years.  God is Good!  Prayers do work!  We could not have gotten through these chapters without your love and support!  😘
