Journal entry by Dean Wattermann

There are no words to express our gratitude for all the prayers and good wishes at the time of my open-heart surgery and for Cecil as he entered Good Samaritan.  I have now been home for ten days and continue to get stronger each day.  Home health will be dismissing me later this week and next week I begin eight weeks of cardiac rehab at the Physical Therapy department at our local hospital.

We are so blessed for the support our children and grandchildren have given us.
Our children continue to take turns being with me helping with cooking, cleaning and laundry -- and making sure I'm walking and doing the exercises the home health physical therapist gave me.  They also visit Cecil every day trying to help him adjust to his new surroundings.   Because of his Alzheimer's disease, it's hard for him to understand why he can't come home now that I'm home from the hospital.  Please continue to pray that he will adjust to this new living arrangement, and feel free to stop in at the lower level of Good Samaritan for a short chat with him.
