This will be my last post on the Caring Bridge site. It has been a GREAT tool to keep friends and family connected to what our family was going through - since Dec. 20th. I highly support this site. Butch fought hard - the doctors made no mistakes, everyone tried so hard but they could not stop the inflammation of the pancreas. Eventually it took its toll and Butch could no longer fight. God took him home!! Thank you for following us and giving us so MUCH support during this time. Words cannot express our gratefulness.
Butch was a great guy - someone who meant a lot to his family and to you. We will miss him in many ways and will keep the memories in our hearts. Many have said to me - he will be missed, but not forgotten. That is so true.
One thing I need to mention - if you attended the funeral or watched on the Major Erickson Facebook page (service is there still), you will remember the first song - Way Maker - which seemed so UNLIKE Butch, as it was more of a remix/rapper version. Please note this was the wrong version - my fault - I gave the wrong version to be downloaded. The kids gave me a look at the funeral - like what is this, Mom - too late then, we had to go with it. Thanks to Pastor Scott for smoothing out this error with his remarks. I'm sure this caught Butch's attention above!! (Butch was unique -- now his funeral was also.)
PLEASE - if you do not know this song, the words are beautiful and mean so much to me. Look it up on YouTube and listen and you will see what I mean. Copy and paste one of these sites in your google search bar and enter - you will not be disappointed and it will be the best time you spent all day!!

Again - I cannot express our thankfulness for the many many people Butch touched during his life - my support, my friends, my family. You have been unbelievable and you are LOVED!! May God bless you in your future.
