Sue’s Story

Site created on July 17, 2020

Thank you for visiting our site and for caring about Sue Selby!!!
She was diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer in April. It’s stage 4 as it originated as ovarian and has spread to liver, bladder and colon.
She has one dose of chemo completed. The original plan was 3 doses with 21 Days between each, then surgery to remove the tumor, followed by three more doses of chemo.  A bowel obstruction altered the schedule and required surgery of its own. We hope and pray she will be able to receive number 2 dose of chemo by mid August.
We so appreciate your support, your prayers, words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting this site. Please do not feel obligated to donate to the caring bridge website. She has had plenty of tributes contributed already in her name.

Journal entry by Paula Saunders

Mom chose to have the procedure recommended to further help her kidneys and the report is it went well! 🙏🫶🙌

Mom is looking forward to getting dismissed from the hospital and is asking for prayer that everything is smooth as far as that goes. I pray she transitions well to the home health set up.
She’s scheduled for dialysis in Emporia on Friday so she should be home before then Lord willing and she heals well from Tuesday’s intervention.

Her platelets had dropped and she needed multiple platelet transfusions prior to the procedure so we pray that situation turns  around.  ❤️‍🩹
