Mya’s Story

Site created on April 17, 2020

Welcome to Mya Moran's update page! Mya is in 5th grade and loves all things gymnastics. She is free spirited and imaginative with the biggest heart for others. If you know her personally, you know how sweet and positive she is.

Mya has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer).  This is going to be a difficult journey for the Moran family so we appreciate all of your kindness, support, and most importantly, your prayers during this time. We will update this page as often as we can so family and friends can know how to pray specifically or show support as different needs arise.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand...For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." Isaiah 41:10;13.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Amanda Moran

It’s Wednesday!! I hope everyone is having a good week. Wanted to update you all since it has been a while. We have just been living life and celebrating. The celebration service was amazing!! Thank you all who helped and all who attended. Hearing Mya shout that she’s cancer free was music to our ears and God was given all the glory!! Woohoo!!!

Mya has started middle school and she is thriving…. An A in every class. She is walking independently now that she has her cool shoe lifts. Yesterday well she had an appointment with Dr. Jasty and a chest CT scan. All is well and still no cancer. She HSP from months ago is still lingering but doesn’t really bother her much. Her kidneys are fine which is what is important. We should be starting target therapy soon.

Thank you for your continuous prayers and support. Have a great rest of your week.
