My husband Jim and I met Claire and John before they were married. I remember having them over to the house and the four of us sitting on the living room floor sharing stories. And then I remember when Annie was born. And then Tim. She was such a fine woman.
My husband Jim went to their home every Saturday morning for several years after he retired for a class on the world’s great religions. He loved both John and Claire and was so enriched by their friendship.
I would give them rides to St. Ben’s meal when the Loomis’s were not able to. It was so sad to gradually see Claire succumb to dementia over the past few years. I saw her briefly a couple of months ago at the nursing home. She had deteriorated so much from the disease and her death is a blessing. John was constantly there for her.
Keep us posted as to her memorial service which I would assume would be at St. Ben’s when the time comes. My love and sympathy goes out to you, John, Annie and Tim.
Anne, Tim, John and families, we are so sorry but so great full she had a loving family and huge circle of friends. We look forward to publicly celebrating Claire in the future but celebrate now the wife, mother, grandmaster and friend she was. Dave Mongin and doris Schoneman.
Our hearts are with you. We will come to the memorial service when you are able to have it. I was thinking this morning how Auntie B always called Claire "Doodlebug." I can't help but smile when I think of Claire.

Thank you Annie for update and I am so sorry to hear that Claire has lost her battle. We are sending prayers and love to John, you and Tim and all your families. We will come celebrate her life with you when you have a memorial service at a later date. Claire was a beautiful soul and special and gentle person and will be so very missed. Love you all, Yvonne
Dear John and Anne and Tim and all the family, we are so sorry for your loss of Claire. I loved knowing her and remember how much we shared when we were parishioners at St Ben’s. I know she knew you loved her till the end. You were so fortunate to have such a wonderful wife and mom. Peace and good wishes. I look forward to celebrating her life soon. Larraine and William
