Journal entry by louisa mcfarlen

Hello friends and family. I am currently on leave from work, I was diagnosed with B Cell Acute lymphatic Leukemia.  I will need at least 1 more round of chemo and then a bone marrow transplant.  I was admitted to Altru and within a week i came to Mayo and started chemotherapy.  My niece and I even name my chemo drugs, "Charlie, Dominic and Vinnie".  I have been here for about a month. I started losing my hair so I shaved it  this week.  I am doing pretty well. I am following all the nurse directions like getting up and walking, drinking fluids and following directions. Hopefully home at the end of next week before starting next round of chemo.  Thanks for visiting the site.
