Bob, this has been a long journal for you. I am glad you could be there for Lori and I know it was always a comfort to her. Our prayers are with you as you go forward with plans for your life. Please reach out if you need any assistance. Kathy and the girls.

Dear Bob - My deepest condolences. Lori had a gentle and intelligent spirit that shined through from the moment I met her at a local authors' event years ago. She had a great appreciation for both seen and unseen beauty and a sensitivity that touched everyone who knew her. I so enjoyed getting to know her better. I'm rereading her memoir right now, and your relationship inspires me so much. You had a special bond that helps me understand true romantic love and connection with a partner is not only possible, but one of the great beauties in life. Thank you for sharing your journey together these last several years. I can't imagine how difficult it's been, but no matter what, love never dies. Much love to you both - Karen

Dear Bob,
Lori will always hold a special place in my heart. Although I only met you once, at your wedding, through your journal entries I have come to know you in a small way and care about you. Lori was blessed by your love, as you were by hers, and as I am by witnessing your love story. I hope you’ll find restful moments in the upcoming days and a way to continue sharing your love and opening yourself to new joys.

Bob, I am certain Lori's spirit will continue to be with you through the bond of the beautiful love you had (and have) for each other. In my life experiences - that thought is not just words of "fluff" and wishful thinking. If you can open your heart to it, you will feel Lori's presence at times. But for now, please know that you are in our prayers as you transition to this new chapter of your life. You were an incredible husband and caretaker for Lori. At the same time, both you and Lori so eloquently taught me about end of life experiences - for which I am grateful. You two were a beautiful example of love and devotion. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this transition. Please know that you are loved by so many now and throughout the many years to come. I wish you peace as well, and well deserved rest, in addition to eventually finding new ways to fill your time that bring you joy. With love and a big, hug, Cyndi

Bob you are in our thoughts and prayers. So glad you were able to take care of Lori like you did and be with her in her final hours on Earth. But now she is singing with the angels and free from the pain and discomfort she has lived with in her last couple of years. The love and commitment you two had in your marriage are an example that the rest of us can learn from. I have been using the depression glass that I received from Lori for my meals a lot more lately and I would say an extra special prayer when I would use it. I will continue to use the glass frequently, think of what a special person Lori was, and how my life has been blessed because of knowing Lori. Peace to you. If you need anything, we are here for you. Cindy & Max

Oh Bob, I am so glad you were there with Lori. As all of us have said, she was such a special person. She had a joyful smile. I loved our Scrabble games (although it would have been nice to win on occasion) and hear of your wonderful stories about the life you both built. You offered so much to each other. Watch for the fox and deer. Lori will be with you in spirit, always. Much love, Jane

Hi Bob,
I am a high school classmate of Lori’s. We didn’t get to know each other way back when. I wish we had. Only after our 50th HS reunion, did we connect. Lori was a true gem of a person, which I know you know. Our world will be poorer for her absence.
Thank you for your tremendous loving care of our dear one, and for reaching out to all of us in your time of hardship. Although it will be difficult for you for a while, I wish you everything that is good and wonderful. Most of all I wish you LOVE. You deserve it.
Love, Mary Sharum
