Logan’s Story

Site created on August 23, 2018

Logan was in a head on collision Monday August 20th around 3:30pm. He was heading home to get some things he needed after attending his first day at Northeast community college in Norfolk for the Utility Lineman program.

He was taken by squad to West Point hospital and the Life Flighted to Bergan Mercy in Omaha.

His Injuries are majority internal. He had his seat belt on, they do not think the airbag went off.

We now know his brain injury is pretty severe and will require a lot of rehab. As the doctor explained it will be a marathon for healing. WE PRAY! His other injury was on his sacrel that is between your L5 and tailbone. They put inplants in on the 23rd which was Thursday. And that all went well!! 😊❤️

As many of you know I had surgery scheduled on my lower back for the 24 (today) and as it was a hard decision I decided to go ahead with it so I can be as healthy as possible for him. Surgery for me was successful and a lot of pain is gone! PRAISE GOD!

Logan has been intubated since accident so machine is breathing for him so his brain can heal. This weekend will be the time to decide if putting in a Trach would be better for him.
