Journal entry by Susan Meadows —
Happy New Year.
As I sit here in the quiet of this new year I find myself filled with gratitude for all that you have done for my family over the past year and a half. Thank you so much for the cards, calls, texts, food, and prayers - they were all appreciated so much.
We often go into new beginnings reflecting on where we have been and where we are headed. This year I think the world would be a better place if we were all just a little more like Lloyd. If you disagree with someone, that's okay, you can still be friends. If someone is different than you, no worries, they are worthy too. If someone has a different opinion, listen, you may just learn something. Help folks every chance you get. Be quiet in your anger, slow to speak, and ready to listen. Want for less, give a little more, and by all means, don't follow the crowd.
I started dating Lloyd when I was 17 so I am learning to adult without him by my side. He was my best friend and I miss him. In this new year love on your people every chance you get, cherish your time with them and let them know how very much they mean to you.
Thank you! We love you all,
Susan, Kali, and Kenton
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Lloyd's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
