Journal entry by Joan Follansbee —
It is good that I am on vacation this week as it has been a busy one with Lloyd on the road to recovery. All the medical people we talk to are amazed at his progress. On paper, his case was wicked. He has been determined to do everything the professionals say to help speed up his recovery. We have had CRVNA come in and assess him; a PT come in to take a look; multiple calls from someone at the hospital to check in ; and tomorrow he sees his pcp. If this had to happen to us, I am grateful that we are going through this now and not back in March. The medical people know so much more about Covid 19 now than back then. We have benefited from that experience for sure. There are still unknowns and that does frighten us. We have tightened our belts as far as staying in a bubble. This is hard for the girls but I know they will power through this tough time just like everyone else. The support my family has felt has been incredible. I thank all of you for helping us get through. I know we are not at the end yet but I do see a light at the end of this dark tunnel for sure.
