LJ’s Story

Site created on June 29, 2020

On Friday, June  26th, LJ  underwent an emergency surgery at UVA Medical Center to repair an aortic dissection. LJ is now recovering from that 6-hour procedure. The road to full recovery may be long and winding and we continue to hope and pray for his health.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jonathan Wynne

Hello everyone! LJ is adapting to life at home and is progressing really well. However, this update comes with news that is a bit less positive. In what has become a very difficult year for them, the Taylors have received some more upsetting medical news. Their son, Adam, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes yesterday. This is very new and they are trying to take it all in and adjust to revised lifestyles as both LJ and Adam learn their new normal. You all have been so generous and caring and it is truly easing some of the stress of the situation. With a whole new round of medical bills accompanying Adam's diagnosis, please continue to support this amazing family with your love, prayers, and donations, if you are able. I've linked their GoFundMe page to this post. Taylor Family GoFundMe
