DONE WITH TREATMENTS!!!!
That feels good to write! When my life was hijacked by cancer earlier this year and I embarked down this road, the END sure looked a long way off. But the only way to get to it is to go THROUGH it. And here I am.
And am I all well?
No...I am dealing with radiation burns, swelling, pelvic inflammation...loads of goodies...healing will take weeks, months, years...who knows? "Everyone is different". I hear that more than I'd like. But that also gives me hope. Maybe I will heal more quickly than expected?? Miracles do happen.
Today was a good day. I drove myself to get my blood work done. I DROVE MYSELF!!! That means I was strong enough and not in PAIN to sit up and not faint!!
I won't see oncologists for another 2 weeks; I'm assuming they will want to talk scans and scopes. Stay tuned.
