Sometimes we need more than just a 28.2% boost in morale. Even the best days can feel insurmountable, no matter how much others can hope or give. I have absolutely no idea what you are going through or why. To quote my mother, "when I don't know why, all I can do is cry." As someone who has struggled with the why for most of my adult life, I cry a lot. I won't try to ascribe any benefit that our family's tears have for your situation, but we have tears and hope. Its woefully inadequate, almost to the degree of laughable, but its the only things we can give. Mourning with those that mourn and hoping with those that hope. Lisa, I hope things are getting better or that they may yet get better. Our family continues to hope for your full recovery.

Not a day goes by I don't think of you and your family. My eldest daughter is graduating college this month and you've been a huge inspiration to her over the years, and you had no idea. So I thought I would let you know. I was so impressed with your professional choices and personal character and the wife/mother work/life approach I observed when I was at SHN. I took those observations and interpretations and used them as the model for advising my daughters on "how to do it". When they were young, their mother received a brain injury that effectively ruined her ability to provide the mother/daughter guidance that's so critical to a developing young woman, so I've done the best I can. Thank you so much for your example. I will be thinking of you when she walks on April 25th and just how much we can influence the lives of others from the common actions of our lives. I hope this adds some fuel to the Fire of Hope you and your family rely on for warmth in your most challenging times ❤️
