My goodness; I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to post an update! I am so thrilled to let you know that I completed my final "big" round of chemo! Here is the most awesome thing of all. Round 6 was supposed to be my hardest round and I have to admit that I felt a little nervous going into it as round 5 was so difficult for me. BUT....I believe because so many of you were praying, round 6 ended up being my easiest round! Jesus is so amazing!!! I feel so thrilled to have chemo behind me. I still have 18 more rounds of one drug (Herceptin) but I have been told that it will be nothing compared to the 4 drugs I was receiving. Thank you guys for all of your prayers, encouragement, cards, meals, and so much more. Gary and I have been so completely blessed by all of you!!! My surgery date has been scheduled; it is this Friday, Feb. 8 at San Antonio. I am on track for having a lumpectomy. The surgeon will also take 3 or 4 lymph nodes and as long as there is no trace of cancer, it should be a fairly easy procedure. The specific prayer is that they get "clear margins" around the tumor site and also that all of my lymph nodes are clear. I have every reason to believe this will be the case! My tumor was the size of a lime before chemo and now, I can't feel anything. The surgeon could not feel anything also!!! I am so happy to keep moving forward because the sooner we do each step...the sooner I find myself at the other end of this journey!! I love you guys so very much!
