Thank you for these updates, Lisa. So forthright, honest, objective, and yes, positive. I hate that you are going through all this but love the spirit with which you meet it. I am equal parts humbled and inspired each and every time I read your entries.

Lisa, we are thinking of you. Here’s hoping the new chemo infusion drug will be a positive thing and will give you a better quality of life. So glad you are able to go to San Diego. Have fun! Also glad your Race for the Cure Team fundraising is going well! I’m giving blood on Wed at your suggestion. Hope it’s a good week ahead. Stay strong!

I'm saddened that you had to receive not great news this week. I hope that after retrograde news is better with future tests and your new chemo does the trick. I'm inspired by your perseverance and genuineness in all this. You will be in my prayers and I'll be praying we get a great turnout at the blood drive (and hopefully my hemoglobin will be up from last time when I couldn't donate!) Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

Your stubborn, insistent, persistent, warrior self is on full display, Kummer. Will you believe me when I say, publicly, that we all envy you that spirit? Yes: Even now. Especially now.

Lisa— keep fighting. And it’s ok to not be positive all the time. Sounds like this new chemo pill will be better. And enjoy your trip to San Diego!

Life comes one day at a time. Your days have needed the warrior in you to combat some of the attacks. Those days have also included love, prayer, hope. embrace, spirit, acceptance. Days ahead will say "Hello" to infusion and "Good-bye" to chemo pills. Each day we join the crowd of people who hold you in mind and heart. We love you, every day. Life is. Love lives!

I'm praying that the new chemo infusion drug that you start the end of April will improve your quality of life, Lisa. Cancer and fear go hand in hand, so I can relate to how you feel about things, but I still believe you can win this battle! Your meeting with the lung doctor will add to the suggestions raised as to how to deal with the pooling of fluid around your lung. A handicap sticker for your car is a good thing, but I would still avoid trying to shop at Costco on a Saturday. I went today ( a Wednesday), and I still come home feeling like I have been in a wrestling match!! God Bless You.
