Journal entry by Chris Dopp

It's been a productive couple of weeks since we last chatted but here is where we are at. After some logistical training for the staff at the group home with some additional home nurse visits it was decided that Lisa could go home!
This was met with somewhat of a homecoming celebration that was joined by staff, friends, roommates and family. Lisa's eating continues to improve which helps in her wait gain (up 6 pounds!) and building up her strength for when the additional chemo is needed at some point. The Doctors have mentioned that the chemo she needs might not be overly invasive or aggressive but strength will be a requirement through that process.

The staff, Doctors and parents continue to monitor her daily activities very closely, but the last two weeks have been the Lisa that we all have come to expect. She continues to be very vocal and typically conducts herself  with a large grin on her face which is a welcome sight.

We will continue to keep you posted!
With Love,
The Dopps
