Lisa Peterson Howland—please let me know that you are good know. I’ve just suffered a nervous breakdown for the same reason. My Bolar couldn’t handle all the elements you describe. Love to you and all the family- Ann Cote Hoffman

Greetings Lisa,

This is Adolfo, your gym buddy from the federal building. I retired from the federal probation office in February 2019. I have not cease praying for your recovery, and for your family. I learned of your medical situation a few days after it occurred. Someone from the U.S. Marshal's office relayed the bad news to someone, and someone else told me and others in the gym. You're a walking miracle! You're truly an amazing woman of Grace and joy. You always greeted me every time in the gym, and always wished me a good work out. You're were always the first person in the gym, by the way! May the good Lord continue to heal you with His love.

Prayerfully,

Adolfo Morales

So well spoken, Lisa! Yes we need to pause to realize how negatively our stress levels and unhealthy habits can lead to not so good things in our lives. I definitely had my own wake up call! Practicing to step back, enjoy life more and smell the roses can certainly be challenging in our “driven” society. It is an ongoing, daily work in progress for sure! But God is Good! And He will show us the way if we put our trust in Him. He has certainly worked a miracle in you and I know He will continue to bring healing and peace to you and your family. Stay strong! Cherish every moment! Love to you, Rick and your family! (And thank you for your sweet card.)

Wow, Lisa! Your words are so touching and your advice so true! My heart is so happy for all of you! We are so very grateful that you have come so far already. I know how grateful your family is to have you alive and almost fully recovered. PTSD is no joke. I hope they have support to help them through this. One thing is for sure, you have the strongest, most loving husband, children, parents and siblings that were not going to let you go!!! We all need to heed your advice re stress that’s for sure! It is easy to do short term but making it a life choice is so much more difficult! I am hopeful that all the education now about the harms of stress will give the next generation a healthier start from the get go but the rest of us have to change! My love, hugs and prayers to all of you! Can’t wait to see you all next year!!! ❤️Aunt Marge

Lisa: So wonderful that this last post is from you. Your recovery has truly been a miracle and answer to all of our prayers. We are amazed and know that you will thrive and learn from the event. I believe that stress can be as health effecting as other disorders and, in that it is controlled by the person living it, makes is doubly hard to shake. I know you are now a great spokesperson for surviving near fatal stress and, sharing in this journey, your loving family are behind your new approach to life 100%. Our prayers continue for complete recovery and more importantly that with God's help you adjust and move forward. We love you and want you around for each day's wonder. Love to all.

Lisa, what a beautiful final post!! What an army of angels you had around you as you went thru this experience!
It is truly a miracle that you have recovered at all and to recover as well as you have, just amazing!
This is the beginning of your new life as well as a new life for your family! PTSD is difficult for those who were with you- hopefully in time they will recover but may need professional help to do so! I will continue to pray for you and your family each day. Hugs and prayers!!
