“That was fun!” is literally what mom said when we left chemo on Friday. Of course she did. Only my mom would leave chemo with such a positive attitude. She was feeling good because she has amazing friends who came by to visit her bringing stories and love and most importantly laughter. She has awesome nurses too. They continue to show up and do the most kind thing for her - just be. Pictures attached (so sorry we didn’t get a picture before you left Diane!)
Mom is going to do 2 or 3 more rounds of chemo then get another scan. She’s also going to start a new medicine that will boost the growth of her white blood cells which are getting low. She’ll need to go into the hospital three days in a row for three shots, but we know this will ultimately be for the best.
