On Thursday October 19 David and went to the oncologist to find out the results of a biopsy taken off a mass on liver. The mass was found when I went to the ER for stomach pain. At my appointment we’re told it was metastatic adenocarcinoma. A pet scan was done to find the origin of the cancer. On Thursday November 2 at my appointment David and I were told that I have stage 4 colon cancer that spread to my liver, with a few small spots on my lung. My treatment is going to consist of two weeks of oral chemo and one week off , and chemo therapy once ever 3 weeks for the next 3 months. In hopes that at 3 months my masses will have shrunken. At this time surgery is not an option because it has already spread. I would have never thought in a million years that I would be going through this.

I had my appointment at MD Anderson on Monday. They have a clinical trial that I could start but I have decided to wait. The particular trial would require a lot of in person appointment. I thought I was doing pretty good but this short trip was extremely hard me.  In the mean time I’m praying that the new chemo pills will shrink my tumor or  at least slow it down till I can get on a trail that is closer to home!  Thank you for all the uplifting messages 💙
