Newest Update

Journal entry by Rob Musick

Last year I went to the ER with fatigue and abdominal pain. I left a month later with the knowledge that I had stage 4 Colon Cancer and at least 12 good size metastatic liver tumors. This made me inoperable and incurable. My odds of making it 5 years with that cancer are extremely low.

Upon leaving the hospital, I immediately began chemo with FOLFOX. As of now I have completed 20 treatments. My tumors  have shrunk by about 70% and yet I am still inoperable. My team is researching clinical trials as a part of my long term plan.

I am working hard hard to make life as typical as possible for my 3 babies. I love them with all my heart and want them to thrive during this period. My husband chose to leave me 6 months prior to my diagnosis. Many people came together to help the babies and my family take a trip to Disney. We had a blast and loved on each other with all we had.

From now now on I will use this site to share updates on my cancer journey. My actual blog will cover more broad subjects. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. I am beyond blessed by my friends far and wide.
