David and Nicki - Your Mom was truly one of a kind. I will always remember her energy, her positivity, her amazing smile and the love she had for everyone around her. She was such a force. Because she touched so many throughout her lifetime, her memories will live on through all these people. I'm sure each and every one of the thousands of people who loved your Mom could write a great chapter of the book of her life. I know mine would include her bustling around getting stuff done while the neighborhood kids played epic games of kick the can, lemonade and other high energy games in your enormous yard. She literally wore down the bristles of more than a few brooms with all her outdoor sweeping activities. What a great Mom. In my imagination, your Mom and my Mom are now cackling with laughter together at some of the hilarious escapades of our childhood. Her memories will always be a blessing to everyone who knew her.

I was sorry to hear of Linda’s passing.
Frankly I’ve been at a loss of words to reflect on such a bright light of happiness that has now grown dark. In the years that I knew Linda she was never without smile and found joy in whatever she was doing.
She had a work ethic that was exceeded by few coupled to a flare of creativity. Such a rarely found combination.
Her greatest legacy beyond her positive impact on others in the arc of her life are her children who were a source of her greatest love and devotion. Her dedication to her children was reflected back her in multiples as she dealt with her long term illness, I’m sure that it made her proud as her children were proud of her.

David and Nicki,,
Even though it has been a few days since your Mom passed away I am still finding it hard to believe. If there was one person who lived life to the fullest it was your Mom. Thanks to the two of you she was able to enjoy her life up to the very end. She was very fortunate to have such a wonderful son and daughter. You two took such great care of her during her illness. I'm sure she was very grateful. It has been pleasure getting to know you.
Love,
Alice

Nicki and David - My family and I were so sad to learn of this news. A true loss for all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. And, you are right - she lives on through you and David. I'm sorry that the coronavirus impacted people's opportunity to visit with her over the last 6 weeks, that it affects the ability for those of us who want to sit with you and hug you during this difficult time, and that a celebration of your mom's life has to be postponed and/or different. My heart is with you and David, praying for strength in the coming days and weeks. Love, Laura

Nicki and David ,
I am so sad but overwhelmed with warmth to read your post. I’m so sad to hear your wonderful mom died this week but the words you have used to describe how you both view your mom and love so deeply (and especially days away from Mother’s Day) is so heart warming and wonderful. I know she was so sweet and her smile so endearing to all . We are sending huge love and warm hugs to wrap you and your family. ❤️Love deb & Joel

My dearest Nicki and David, Losing such a warm, radiant, giving woman I am sure is terribly hard. I do not remember Linda without a smile that involved her whole face, unless she was concentrating while listening intently to what you were saying very seriously but the smile would inevitably return immediately. Such a loving, thoughtful, happy, adorable and sweet woman there never was. What a blessing it has been to know her. She very definitely was an A+ mom (and grandma!). I don't imagine her being less than that in any of her relationships. I am sure she brightened many, many people's lives. Part of her excellence as a mom is that she passed on these wonderful qualities to her children. My heart is with you both at this time and it is so inspiring how you both, along with Carlyle, gave of yourselves selflessly to be with and care for Linda. My prayer is that you find comfort and assurance. She was very blessed to have you with her so faithfully. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know how I can be of any assistance whatsoever. Loads of love, Marney

Oh Nicki and David, there are no words.
I am so sad and I know your hearts are broken.
Thank you for the wonderful loving and caring letters to all of us these past months as you shared your journey with Linda. When Linda and I met we were kids never guessing that our friendship would take us so many places and last our
lifetime. How blessed I am to have had her be such an important part of my life.
I thank you both for letting me walk along side of you as you walked with Linda.

Although we failed to keep in touch over the years, I shall always remember Linda as an important part of my wonderful years at WHHS . She was a friend then with whom I shared great times, and she shall remain so in my memory bank. Nikki and David wrote a heartfelt, beautiful tribute and I am certain that Linda shall be dearly missed by all who loved her. My deepest sympathies to her family. Nancy
