Newest Update

Journal entry by Jordan Fox

Hello all!

It's been a while since the last update. I'm sitting here with Mom in her home and we wanted to get everyone up to speed on the latest in her journey and how things have been going.
Mom is currently taking two treatments directed at slowing growth of tumors, the previously mentioned lanreotide injection, as well as the new treatment, Lutathera, which was administered in St. Louis on February 17th. Lanreotide is still administered every 4 weeks, and Lutathera is given every two months, with four total treatments planned.
Mom has been pretty exhausted since the Lutathera treatment was given, usually she has some energy in the mornings, but the most exercise she can muster is to walk out to the mailbox and some general house upkeep. She continues to prepare most of her meals for herself and is still enjoying her strict plant-based diet.
Lately she has been dreaming of warmer weather to get out and play in the dirt! She wants to plant in her garden, hopefully rustling up some spinach, broccoli, zucchini, and tomatoes later this year.

Next week, we will travel to Siteman in Arnold, MO to have her next Lanreotide injection administered. She's noticed in the past a slight uptick in her energy levels after the injections, so that's something to look forward to. Mom hopes to be able to get back out to nearby Redman's Recreation Area or at Sundowner Marine, where paved trails were some of her favorites to get in a brisk walk. Since the Lutathera treatment, she's been too fatigued to do so, but she's feeling that her energy levels continue to rise with every day passing. We hope that the progress continues!

As always, we really appreciate the kindness and support of Mom's close friends, family, and those following along. She wanted me to remind you all that your prayers mean everything to her. It does to me as well - knowing so many care for this sweet lady is so comforting. Thank you!
