Journal entry by Linda Cap Hoyt —
Good news! Tomorrow is my last radiation treatment. Dr. Sibley said I did not need the full 20 sessions so I will be happy to “ring the bell” after my appointment Tuesday. Yippee!
It has been a long road since my diagnosis in July 2018. I have been humbled by the outpouring of love and support from friends, family and co-workers. I cannot find the words to express my gratitude to each and every one of you who have read this blog and sent me words of encouragement when I needed them most. Thanks again to those who took the time to send cards, flowers, candy, chocolates, socks, blankets, hats, scarves, gift certificates, books, food and wine and other wonderful, thoughtful gifts (like my healing mandala from my book club) to brighten my day.
This will not be my last entry. I plan to enter at least one more. When I stand on the shores of the islands of Crete and Santorini on my trip to Greece in May, I will have Bill take a picture to post of his favorite cancer survivor.
