Journal entry by Annie Bartels Solberg

Tuesday-
“Surgery went really well and after proving to physical therapy that I was ready to leave the hospital, I am finally headed home. My leg still hurts quite a bit, but it’s really nice cause I can tell it is not bone pain! The incision is pretty much the same as my first surgery just a little bit longer. I can put as much weight on it as I feel up to. I have to wear this heavy duty brace everywhere though. They said with my muscles being so weak now they don’t want my knee giving out, so I have to wear a brace.“
Wednesday-
“It’s nice to be in my own bed, but [it’s] harder to do stuff. For my brace, they said I’ll be in it until I can show them that I can lift up my leg off the bed while laying flat. That way they know my muscles are strong enough. [Pain management] is alright. It depends on how much I’ve been moving.”
🙏🏼 Please pray for Lilly: patience while her body heals, strength and perseverance for therapy, and faith that this surgery will be the ticket to no more pain!
🙌🏼 Also, thank God for her medical team and support system!
