Liam was diagnosed with a very complex heart defect. We're not sure what's going to happen but we appreciate all the prayers from everyone!

With Thanksgiving tomorrow, I am so thankful with how well Liam has been doing this past year! I know we haven't posted on here in a while; this year has been pretty crazy as you can imagine.

Since coming home after surgery in February, Liam has been doing amazing! He turned 1 in August and is running everywhere and getting into everything! I always say you would never know there was anything wrong with Liam until you saw his scar. And it's true! He is developing and growing like any "normal" 15 month old. He loves Thomas the Tank Engine and Winnie the Pooh, and playing with his big brothers! He likes to steal the Xbox controllers and TV remotes and hide them all over the house. He goes to the cardiologist every 6 months now, as well as his well child visits every couple months. We are not sure exactly when he will have his next surgery, but the doctors have said he will be around 4 years old.

In this Thanksgiving season we are in, I can't help think of how fortunate we have been this past year. There's a song by MercyMe called "Even If" that makes me think of Liam and everything he has gone through in his short life. The song talks about how we know God can do amazing things, but even if He doesn't, we will still praise Him. We prayed everyday since we found out about Liam's heart condition that God would heal him and he wouldn't need surgery. But we knew that even if God didn't heal him, we knew He would be with Liam through everything and use his story to help other people. We knew that even if God didn't heal him, we would still praise Him; nothing was going to change that. I thank God every day for watching over Liam, for being there every step of the way.

I want to thank everyone again for continuing to pray for our family and especially Liam! I will try to be better at posting on here, but with Liam doing so well sometimes even I forget he has medical issues :) Please continue praying for our boy! We love you all! Have a great Thanksgiving!
