Journal entry by Leslie Glaze —
It’s been awhile since I have written but between treatment and the holidays, time has gotten the best of me. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and enjoys much earned time with family and friends.
i completed Rounds 3 and 4 of chemo and switch to a new chemo medicine on Dec 26. On the 26th, I will have Round 5 and should wrap up by the first week of February.
i will admit that chemo is much harder than I ever anticipated and I tell Bradley I want to quit during the height of the side effects. It’s hard to imagine that medicine that makes you feel so bad is actually destroying cancer cells.
The treatments are having a cumulative effect so I have cut back on most activities although during each good week, I have enjoyed lunches, movies, and some nights out involving wine.
i have been envisioning all the traveling I plan to do in 2019 and the family and friends I will visit. These thoughts have helped me stay relatively positive the past couple of months.
i will post again after the new medicine is given on Wednesday with hopes that I will handle the side effects with grace!
Love and Happy Holidays to All,
Leslie
