Journal entry by john callow —
Hello, and for some,..long time, no see! It's me, John... Not sure if anyone will see this as it's been quite a while since I used Carring Bridge...
Tomorrow July 30, is the second anniversary of Leslie's death, as has been my custom for nearly half a decade, I wanted to honor the occasion with yet another of my somewhat corny poems. Leslie loved (or at least, always said she did) them, so even if this doesn't reach the intended audience, I'm hopeful that it reaches her.

Mrs. Bickerson, it's your anniversary,
Not the kind I hoped it'd be..
It marks that day two years ago,
When you went away from me...
Your/Our memory is what I cherrish,
It gets me through each day...
Still makes me feel so close to you,
Though I know you're far away...
Yes, I know, they're just fond memories,
But I love them/YOU, still...
And no matter how many years pass by,
Please know,... I ALWAYS WILL...
