Leroy’s Story

Site created on January 23, 2021

All,

My Father Leroy is scheduled to leave the Cadia Renaissance rehab facility in Millsboro Delaware today, January 25th.   Thanks for all your well wishes, prayers and thoughts of recovery for my father.   He entered the hospital on January 7th with a spiral fracture of the fibula.   He will be in a leg cast and unable to put weight on his leg until mid to late February.

Leroy enter the excellent care of Cadia Renaissance rehab late on January 8th.  He tested positive for Covid on January 11th.  Although he has been relatively Covid symptom-free since January 11th, he had a fever on January 22nd and was subsequently diagnosed with Bilateral Pneumonia.  He is currently on antibiotics and will be resting at home later today in recovery.

His condition is being evaluated from hour-to-hour.   We appreciate all the well wishes, prayers and thoughts of recovery during this time.  The family request that for the time being there is no in-person visitation.   He is being well cared for by a 24-hour live-in at his home in Bethany.

We will post updates on his condition as they become available.

A sincere thank you to all of you for your care and support during this time.
