Journal entry by Pam Wehrli

I am sitting here today reflecting on the last year of our lives. Today one year ago I was sitting in a waiting room anxiously waiting on any news that they could give me as Leo was in surgery getting the cancerous tumor removed from his chest. It was a very long day but as of this day a year ago he is cancer free. We still have many trips to doctors for the side effects that the chemotherapy had on his body. He now has issues with his nerves on his hands and feet that he has had several appointments for. He is on medication to help with the pain of it but will probably have to live with this for a long time if not for the rest of his life. He is also having kidney problems that are requiring us to do additional testing on. Hopefully we can figure out what is going on with them and get it resolved. He has been very frustrated with these problems. He is struggling with these issues but he is getting better at coping with them. I just wanted to thank everyone for the support that was given to my family and continues to be given. It has been very hard.  Please continue to pray for Leo’s health and healing. Again I just wanted to let everyone know how he is doing. Thanks again to everyone that has and continues to help with this journey. We could not do this without the support of all of you.
