Journal entry by Ruby Ringdahl

It is time to share the latest news.  We had our oncology visit yesterday after doing assessment post treatment. We are so pleased for the positive reports. The CT showed substantial decrease of tumors in the liver as well as decrease in the pancreas. Yeah!!! We couldn’t ask for a better anniversary gift! It is 43 years ago today that we made our vows. I know I am privileged to have the best companion  at my side. His steady faithfulness has been a wonderful influence on our family for which we will be eternally grateful. How he has handled this diagnosis and treatment is remarkable! This round of chemo has been tough, causing fatigue and lack of appetite. Hopefully both will improve with time. Decreased bone marrow function will necessitate close watching as he continues on a low dose of maintenance oral chemo. He had a blood transfusion yesterday which should give him a boost. We are so  grateful for all who are standing by as we continue this journey. Your every act of kindness is appreciated!
