Lee’s Story

Site created on August 22, 2019

Dear Friends and Family,
Lee had a severe stroke on the left side of his brain on the morning of Monday, August 19th.  He self-diagnosed it immediately and was under medical care within minutes. He underwent surgery to remove the blood clot at St. Luke's (Plaza) that morning and was transferred to the ICU. On Wednesday he was released from the ICU to the stroke recovery unit. There are still some major challenges ahead as the brain tries to recover from the stroke but we are hopeful.

Thank you all for your support and well wishes over the last few days. We thought that a central location for information would make it easier for us to keep people updated on the progress.

Please continue to keep Lee in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you again,

Laura and Matt Salem (Lee's kids)
