LeAnn’s Story

Site created on February 8, 2018

LeAnn was taken by ambulance on Monday night (February 5, 2018)  around 4:30pm for some unknown health problems. She is currently at The University of Minnesota  in the Neuroscience part of the hospital.  Doctors found  a lesion in the middle of her brain.  Doctors continue to monitor her and look for the cause of her condition. Please say some prayers for LeAnn and her family.

Journal entry by Leslie Brandon-Sondreal

From my mom:
It's been a whirlwind week for LeAnn this week...funding came through for the services at the Group home...LeAnn will start the last trek of her recovery on November 1 by moving to the Prairie Community Group home....she witll be working at Diversified Activity Center, doing some pre packing for Digikey and Worth....she is excited but nervous at the change...anxious to get out from under my thumb also...I'm nervous...being the hoovering mom I am, I worry no one can care for her like I do but i also realize she needs more occupational training than I have time to give...and patience...I have no patience...I've learned alot about brain injuries but I have a long way to go...LeAnn has a 2 year period to get what she needs to live alone...so she has no time to wait for me to catch up...it almost feels like we are going to have to go through that "empty nest" event over again...gonna be some tears...happy tears for LeAnn. ...
