Leann’s Story

Site created on May 16, 2020

Welcome to Leann's CaringBridge website. On May 8th Leann and David were in a serious motorcycle accident. They have a network of wonderful family and friends who have provided various updates through various means but it seemed helpful to have a single place to collect and share info and for Leann's tribe to send wishes of healing she can read when she has a moment or needs a healing boost.

Thanks to all who have sent texts, emails, posted on Facebook, etc.--Maryann, Brenda, Christi and others. I know Leann would appreciate your messages of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting!

Journal entry by Jamie Carter

Lovely day with these dear people. Leann and David are doing more and more on their own and for each other. Don’t get me wrong, they both still have breaks, strains, bruises, and scars trying to mend and meds and potions to manage but are both making progress. Leann is working on vertigo, memory, brain-therapy puzzles, eye and ear struggles, and rib and lung discomfort and recovery but has her sense of humor and intense work ethic. Today, after laundry folding together, we went out and had Covid-safe pedi’s and she had a careful and delicate mani (guarding the right arm and hand) she’s been anxiously awaiting to handle post-accident fingernails. They are filled with gratitude for everything and all of you/us. I watched her read several cards aloud today—each time she said “ohhhh, that is so sweet” and would tell us a kind story about each person. Anyway, that’s the news. Thanks to her/ their kind community of friends!
