Journal entry by Leah Smith —
wanted to share a quick update.
Im feeling and doing great! I have started my new chemotherapy drug that I will
receive weekly for a total of 12 cycles. I have had minimal side effects so far and my energy level is stable.
Trying to continue eating healthy (low sugar, organic fruits and vegetables). I’ve also been enjoying my indlgences and it’s time to exercise more.
We are also back back from our RV adventure trip to Maine and Acadia National Park. It was a absolutely amazing. We enjoyed hiking, biking, lots of great food. The kids enjoyed themselves but it was a lot of driving. Great way to see the northeast.
Back to life and back to reality...
sam has started his new CRNA job at the VA this week. Stella is enjoying her performance/drama camp week and swimming and tennis camp this week. She finished strong on swim team for her first time. Bodhi loves his new school and is making new friends. He too is becoming a good bike rider and loved exploring nature on our trip.
Thank you again for all your love and support. We truly appreciate the meals made and delivered by our friends and coworkers. I love the texts and emails to keep my spirits up! I am continuing to keep my optimism high as I count down the treatments.
