My beautiful daughter was called to heaven today at 2pm. I wanted a girl so much when she was born that I thanked the Doctor that delivered her. I went to the hospital on a Sun. night at 9pm..I get to the hospital and my Dr. is gone on vacation and his standby is not back from his vacation. The hospital staff said not to worry that they would find a Dr. to deliver her. They did but the Doctor was not even supposed to deliver babies. Gordy my husband waited in the delivery room for many hours and no Laurie. Finally I told Gordy to leave because I did not know when she would be born. Gordy went home, changed clothes and went to work and as soon as he went through the door at 8:25 am they told him his baby girl was born. He picked out her name and wanted her to have the same middle name as mine Lynn. While living here in Santa Maria we were not able to see each other that much but I got alot phone calls from her which was almost every day until Feb this year. I think the daily phone call I am going to miss the most . When she was little I can see her so clear standing up on the floor of the car behind her dad when he was coaching Jr. All American Football and he had just lost the game he coached and she told him thats all right dad there is always tomorrow. Well my tomorrow is going to be sad for a very long time. I was blessed to have her as long as I did but it still was not long enough. She is going to be with her dad in heaven. God take good care of her.

So Sad, but it’s a comfort knowing that Laurie lived a life where she knew she was loved by so many family, friends and acquaintances. Not everyone can say that, and not everyone can receive the loving support that John, her family, Courtney and Meaghan provided .
