You're the strongest and most knowledgeable about cancer of all my cancer friends, Laurie. You were my cancer mentor at the beginning of my first cancer and remain so. Hang in there!
Another thing about Pred - it makes one hungry! Also, after my massive Pred. treatments, my previous back disc pain I had for three years disappeared and has not returned! Yea, Pred!
You're in my thoughts Laurie and I'm sending lots of love! I'm hoping this all goes by quickly and eventually it's just a distant memory. I'm pulling for you sweetie!
Oooh, I remember the Prednisone crash . . . one minute you're flying like a pelican soaring over the ocean, the next you're going head first into the ocean. My onc said if I ever needed treatment again and Prednisone was part of it, he would cut the dose to 60mg. He had just finished a steroid pack for something he had and felt awful and so came away with first hand knowledge of the "crash". Sure hope you're okay from the biopsy. LOL about Gus and the time zone changes. Yup, a sense of humor is good. I'll be talking to God again about your situation asking for great tumor shrinkage and safety of your kidneys. Sending love, Jane
Biopsies done by now! Hope that they are able to make you pain free after - if not during! Thanks for the update, and may that chemo really really shrink that tumor :-)
I wonder...if you sent a vial of saliva and another of your lymph separately to 23andMe, would the geographical mapping be different? It seems like it should be identical, but I don't know enough about genetics to be smart enough to not pose such a silly question.
