Hopefully none of this will happen to me. They seem to be able to control this much better now after the last couple years of experience. Also, because my cancer is a less aggressive type than others that have been treated to date w car-t, like ALL and DLBCL, they think the battle bw my cancer and the T cells will be less intense and thereby be less likely to cause CRS (cytokine release syndrome) which can lead to coma. Definitely not for the faint of heart but I have been called a badass chick, lol

If need be, he can, like if I start mumbling and drooling and forgetting who the president is. By the way, every day starting w when I check in the hospital to get my cells back, they give me a daily mental test (similar to what they use to evaluate dementia patients) to see if I still remember my name and other vital things. I hear the days after return of T cells can be easier on the patient than the family, because they just put the patient into a coma if it gets dicey.
