Journal entry by Laurie Custidero —
It's Friday, it's sad when you realize.how many true friends you can actually count on. Oh sure , there's plenty who say hi and like your posts but when there's a real problem, where are they?
I can count maybe 5 out of how many? Two are family, actually maybe 7. But then 4 are family. Then there's Fr.Paul, Becky, Ruth, Ann and Nancy . They're already doing so much for me. Taking me places, helping me of bills, bringing me food and groceries . That what true friends do for a friend in need.
I just found out that Medicare won't pay for a new bed and mattress to prevent my skin from breaking down. They'd rather pay a hefty hospital bill to cover an inpatient stay and home health and then the bed for wound care. But why pay less to prevent paying out thousands after when upfront is so less costly?
What Kim trying to say,, is that if even 10 of my so called friends could spare me the cost of their morning Starbucks and bagel, I could go to Wal-Mart and buy a foam mattress topper, in in stead of fighting with Medicare.
However, since not one single person has bothered to read my posts here, this really won't make much of difference. Except to me and so I vent.
