Lauren’s Story

Site created on August 18, 2020

As most of you know, Scott Nemeth passed away on Sunday, August 16th  from a heart attack.  We are devastated by this loss.  There has been an outpouring of sympathy, love, and a desire to help.   We created this CaringBridge website to support Lauren, Nic and Annabel through this difficult time.  We have currently created opportunities for support that will go through December 2020.  The needs will be on-going,  so thank you in advance for any and all that you are able to do.  We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place.   Please take a look to see how you can sign up to provide a meal, deliver sweets, and/or drop off flowers.  (Note, there are some sign ups that are "reserved" for Azalea Ave folks.)  We also have some ideas for showing  support , if you do not live on BI.  Keep up to date with the journals entries. And if you have a new suggestion to provide support please let us know.    Please feel free to pass along  the link to this site to any and all friends or groups that inquire about how to support Lauren and the kids.  Thank you.

Please note that there are three ways to help Lauren.  1) clicking on the "Ways to Help" in the purple bar above and signing up for a task.  2) Reading the Journal entry in "Journal"  which gives other options for support, or 3) Signing up for the "Meal Train" - https://mealtrain.com/g4z0oe

Journal entry by Kristine Velisaris

Dear friends and family,

Lauren has expressed repeatedly how much she appreciates all the love shown to her family during this difficult transition to their new normal.  She feels like she is in a good space now and that she has, in her words, "graduated to the next level."  The family feels that they are able to take on all the tasks that their community lifted off their shoulders these last several months.  So, per their request, we will no longer be taking signups on this site or the meal train after the start of 2021.

Again, thank you for everything all of you have done to support Lauren and the kids since Scott's passing.

In gratitude,
Brandi, Lisa and Kristine.
