Journal entry by Laura Dohmann

With great excitement I share tomorrow June 23rd will be my final surgery in this cancer journey. I will be getting my chemotherapy port removed and finishing up reconstruction.

God has shielded me from the very beginning and I know I would not have made it this far without his mercy poured on me! He gave me great support around me and covered me with His hand. To say I am grateful doesn’t even sum up all that is in my heart. I’m bursting with JOY to be on the end of this experience.

Not everyone ends their cancer journey with the gift of life on earth. I am overwhelmed HE spared me. I don’t know why he choose me or why he didn’t spare Kelly or Kim. Those are answers I think we would all love to understand/know. I can tell you until my last day on earth I will be incredibly grateful he gave me life. Even that doesn’t seem like enough but I will praise Him everyday until I can’t.

You are
Way maker (miracle worker, promise keeper)
Light in the darkness, my God
(That is who You are)
Oh, his name is above, his name is above depression. His name is above loneliness. Oh, his name is above disease, his name is above cancer. His name is above every other name.
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out, I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in,
Lord Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I'll say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
