This was a lot, so much to process. I'm glad you are writing out some of this because there was just so much information jammed into those appointments that it will be useful for your family as you make decisions moving forward. I too struggle with desk eating and eating my feelings. I would love to hear more about what you learned and how I can be a part of your support team as you make one small change at a time and turn it into a habit. You, your family and your care team are being lifted in prayer.

Laura; what a wealth of information you gained, and as they say "information is power". You know your body and yourself pretty well. Mayo sounds like an amazing place. I just love when doctors take the time with me and explain in words I understand.
As someone who has battled weight all my life, I know what a battle that can be too! The advice to change one habit at a time is very strong. As a former weight watcher's leader I would say "it's all in your head and it begins at the grocery store!" This means weight loss is behavioral first and environments and what we keep around is important. When our reasons for losing weight are greater than our desire to eat that__________ (fill in the blank,) then we truly start to make progress. Best of luck Laura. Stay strong! You have great friends and a supportive hubby. I will continue to pray for you today and whenever God calls you to my mind.

Wow Laura, that is so much to digest! So glad to hear about the good info and education you received though. Hopefully it puts somethings into perspective and action for you. You are a strong woman and will get through this too! Prayers and hugs for you and your family! I’m thrilled that you are blessed with a strong support system
