Laura’s Story

Site created on July 2, 2019

Hello and welcome to my CaringBridge.  I thought this would be a great way to keep friends and family updated with my progress of “kicking  cancer to the curb.”  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. I have had so many people reach out to me already.  I’m blessed with so much support.  I believe in the power of prayer. Please add me to your prayer list and any church prayer chain. If you have questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Laura Krasinski

Hello Friends,
I saw my Pulmonologist today and I have to go back in 3 months.  My biopsy came back NO CANCER!!  I couldn't be happier.  I was crying like a baby... tears of joy!!  These past few months have probably aged me 10 years.  But, now I am getting my life back.  All they found in my lungs were nodules of Coccidioidomycosis.
Valley Fever will be with me the rest of my life. I'm praying it goes dormant and stays dormant.  This could take some time. I will have another blood test and CT Scan sometime at the end of the year. Please continue to pray because without your prayers I'm not sure if we would have gotten this far.  I am deeply grateful to my friend Joan Cain for all her help getting me diagnosed as soon as I was.  The Drs. in the Midwest are not familiar with Valley Fever.  With Joan's help and advise I got them right on track as soon as I could.  I think this will be my last post on this site hopefully for a long time. Please spread the word about this disease to your family and friends.  Thank you for helping me through this journey.  God Bless You All.
