What a year you and Tim and your mother have had. I hope that with the coming of spring, things will perk up. Mike and I are glad to learn that the hearing aid is helping, and we hope that Tim remains healthy -- no repeats of 2017. And I'm glad that your mom is getting the TLC she needs -- you & Tim, Donna and the garden may be the best medicine yet. Anyway, you are in our thoughts, and I'll be sure to check your posts. Like the famous picture of the Kitty ... Hang in there.
Lots of love to all.

I didn't believe it was you at first, because I am following three other people on Caring Bridge - but there you are again. I hope everything resolves in a positive way. Yup, aging is not for sissies.

'sigh' Laura, so many challenges... Aging is a bitch. But you have a way of grabbing each challenge by the throat and conquering it. I've so admired the way you just do what has to be done. And now this new hearing challenge. It seems you are handling it as ever and I hope it works out well for you this time too. Shall we dance?? Hoping Timothy is doing well now. I'll email you soon and catch you up on me.

Hi Laura,
I’ve been meaning to contact you since December as I handed your holiday letter to Hank to read, saying, “You’ve got to read Laura’s letter; they’re always so good.” So he did, and we promptly lost it, so I never got a chance to catch up on all that was happening in your life...and it’s obviously been a lot! I had wanted you to email me another copy so I could hear from you. And now this. So sorry to hear about all the health issues from every member of your immediate family. I hope that your hearing aids do the trick, and that your condition might be reversible.
A couple of things from me — I retired (still sounds weird) last month and now Hank and I are RV traveling. Right now we’re at a bar in Silver City, NM (hence any typos I may have in this email). I had some surgery in Feb., (a hysterectomy 😟) five days after leaving my job, but am bouncing back okay.
Also, our RV travels include a trip to the NW this summer do I’m really hoping we can connect with you.
Anyway, I hate ‘typing’ on my iPhone so I’ll stop now, but will continue following you on Caring Bridge or direct emails. Also, I’m changing my email address to jwfarmstrong831@gmail.com as I’ve had major problems with my other one.

Best of everything to you, Tim, and Mom,
Julie

Oh Laura, I am so sorry - its really a bitch when gardening hurts! But really, I feel for you. How is Timothy doing after all he went through last year? And at least your mom is home and hopefully thing have started to spring up in her garden. We are in New Hampshire and still have about 2 feet of snow. But it got up to 41 today so things are looking up. We are trying to sell the farm in NH and also the inn, so the next big question is where will we move to? Washington State is on the list.

Stand strong girl, I know you always do. I hope the hearing aid helps. Life without music sounds dreary... Life without constant news updates sounds like a great idea but today the kid's march for life was totally invigorating. Reminds me of the 60s and we did make an impact then. I don't see how congress can not respond. Trumpy, of course, is hiding on his golf course...

I love you!

Sylvia
